Sneak Peek.... Peekaboo Photos

Is this precious or what? I am dying over our new little guy! Just had newborn pics taken on Fri. with the very talented Kate Moss of "Peekaboo Photos". She graciously sent us a little sneak peek and I can't wait to see the rest!

We were peed and pooped on (you know the yellow mustard seedy kind?) but it was all worth it!
Luckily, daddy was the one who got splattered with the mustard!

Sweet Sweet Baby...

6 lbs 15 oz 19 inches long- He was delivered an HOUR after I got the hospital! More details to follow....... came so fast I think we should name him "Lightning" McQueen. Ha ha! Drew would love that! No name yet! But coming soon..................

Furniture For Sale!

I am selling this green hutch shown here as well as the dining table. The hutch would be super cute if it was painted black or cream. I just never got around to it. The table set was in a Parade of Homes house a few years ago. It's shabby chic style and the base looks like a cream picket fence. The chairs can easily be recovered. Right now they are a green and yellow stripe that matched my valance. However, underneath is the original fabric which has a really cute print of different types of chairs in tan and white. We have someone that is moving into our condo next weekend and we need to get everything out. We've had it staged while it was being shown and we don't need it anymore in our new house. So, if you're interested... let's make a deal! :)

Baby Oh Baby!

Dear Baby Boy,
It's really not fair that the Dr. and nurses keep telling me that I am going to have you any day and you still aren't here! Are you not ready to come out yet? I have been walking around dilated to a 4 and 100% effaced for a week now. I know you are not due for another 2 weeks but it would be really nice if you could help your mommy out! Our new bed is so high I about kill myself getting in and out all night long on my potty trips to the bathroom! Not to mention that I get shooting pains down my thighs from all the pressure right on my sciatic nerve. Last but not least, let's not forget the heartburn that makes my throat feel like acid is eating my esophagus!

On the plus side, I am really lucky that I start dilating before you come and I don't even feel it. When I went to the hospital with your older brother to be induced I was dilated to a 5 and having contractions and didn't even know it!

We just can't wait to meet you! I sent Grandma home since you weren't making an appearance. We figured we'd do reverse psychology. So, now that she's gone you can come out!

Our New House!

This baby is coming soon!! I've been nesting like a mad woman!! I'm just so glad to be in our new house but feel like I still have so much to do! I have managed to put out Halloween and Fall decorations. However, Christmas may be another story.

Michael Phelps... Watch Out!

We've had Drew in survival swimming lessons for a couple of months now. It's a 3 week course and now we are doing maintenance which is just one day a week until Nov. Lessons are only 10 minutes long! It is really amazing to see what these little guys can do! Here he is jumping off the diving board to his teacher Pam. He can jump in and immediately roll over onto his back and float in his "safe place" which is what they teach them.

He actually prefers to wear the goggles. He has sensitive eyes which his teacher says she finds quite common with redheads! :) He loves it! He'll tell me in the mornings "I want to go swimming with Pam".

Townhouse for Sale! We're Moving to a House!

We are selling our townhouse! Just thought I'd post some pics in case anyone knows someone that is looking in Orem. We are asking $274,000. It's 2106 sq feet with a finished basement, 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and also a half bath. It is an end unit which is also nice. Knotty alder kitchen, tile, oversized jetted tub, bronze fixtures, 3 tone paint, we also put beadboard/wainscotting in the nursery which is an added bonus. We are sad to leave all of our great friends, neighbors and ward. However, I am super excited to move to a house with a yard!!

High School Reunion- Class of 1989!!

I had my 20 year (yes 20 gulp!) high school reunion this summer and I was 6 months pregnant! It was a lot of fun to see old friends and see how much everyone has changed or hasn't changed ( some people were still living in 1989!). My pics for some reason are not showing up very well on here. The quality is really poor but you still get the idea. This is my friend Tina who was the drill team leader with me. We were reinacting our pose for the yearbook! My prom date Jeff who stood me up for my Senior Prom. Actually, he came down with food poisioning the night before and couldn't take me to the dance. So, since I never had a prom picture this is our prom pic but only 20 years later!!

My "girls". We still get together once a year after all this time! This is us before heading out to the reunion which by the way was at a bar complete with a mechanical bull. Yes, it was pure white trash if you know what I mean! :)

My Birthday Present!

My husband thought I was crazy when I told him I wanted one of these cute bikes. Now, I just need to get a white basket and I'll be all set. Isn't it so cute!! The fun part was watching him and Drew ("I help mama's bike") put it together! Wade calls it a "Donski" (his nickname for me) bike. I guess it will look pretty hilarious riding it with my big pregnant belly. I am just going to pretend I am riding in the South of France with fresh tulips and a baguette in my white basket.

Drew's Elmo Birthday Party!

Thanks to all of our friends and family who came to Drew's 2nd birthday party! We had it at the new Lindon Aquatic Center. He got lots of fun presents and he had a great time! We hope you did too!

Happy 4th of July!

Luckily for us we have awesome neighbors who invited us to go out on the 4th. Otherwise we would have just stayed home. Ty and Drew are great little buddies! Throwing pennies in the fountain at Red Robin. They thought it was so fun!

We went up to Matt's sisters house to see if we could watch the fireworks from there. They had a jeep that Drew took for a spin and he obviously takes after his dad in the driving dept. WILD!!

Picture of the gang- minus Meggan the photographer. We gave the little boys snaps to throw but for some reason it seemed like the "big" boys were sneaking them on the side and enjoying them just as much!

My how you've grown from a tiny little baby into a sweet boy! Now you are going to have a little brother soon and I can't wait for you to be best buddies! We love you so much and are so thankful for the happiness you've brought into our lives!

Happy Mothers Day!

This is no joke this is Mother's Day morning before church! Drew was being very quiet which you know what that means.... TROUBLE!! When I said that was not a very nice thing to do and not to color on the walls, he says "Mama, I help!" and he did. I couldn't help but laugh. By the way, it was all over the chairs too!

Baby on Board!

Yes, we are having a baby! I just had an ultrasound and I'm measuring 12 weeks 4 days. We feel very blessed and I am very thankful that I've been feeling pretty good! I haven't even thrown up once which used to happen on a regular basis with Drew. However, I am still craving Apollo burgers and my new thing is Arby's roast beef sandwiches. Weird???

This is me right before going to my dr. appt. My pants are already uncomfortable and tight. Ironically, I will be pregnant at my 2o year high school class reunion this summer. I will be 38 when this baby comes!! I got a late start compared to the rest of my classmates! :)

Drew doesn't quite know what to think of it yet. My brother calls him the "Prince of Utah" and truthfully he has pretty much ruled our castle. His world is going to change!!

Thanks for 3 great years!

Why do I feel like we look so young? We weren't at all! An old maid at 34! Ha ha!

Happy Anniversary!!

Happy 3rd Anniversary! We actually celebrated it back in March and went to Vegas for 4 days. We stayed at the Venetian and it was HEAVEN!!! Did I mention that it was my first time ever away from Drew!!! A king size bed with no child in between kicking and laying on top of me all night. It was a dream! I am also happy to report that the 24 hour all night diner is now closed! Yes, I am officially done nursing!!! The pool in our tower at the Venetian. Every morning we ate in the same French restaurant and I had baguettes with nutella & pecan and banana french toast....... YUM!

We went to Jersey Boys which was AMAZING! But, my real treat was going to the Donny & Marie Show. It was super fun!!! I've always loved Donny! The highlight... when he sang "Soldier of Love". Oh yeah baby!!!
