Feeling HOT, HOT, HOT...

This pic sums it up best on how little guy has been feeling the past few days.... not good. He's been burning up with a fever since he got his shots on Fri. I think the fever has finally broke this morning and he is starting to feel more like himself because he brought me the remote to watch his nursery rhymes (takes after his father with the t.v.). Anyways, that's why I've been out of commission... haven't returned calls, blogged, etc. I've had my arms full (literally) holding him all day and he would not sleep unless he could put his head on me. I would try to sneak out once he was asleep but the little stinker would always wake up!

TAGGED: 6 Quirky/Random Things About Me!

I was tagged a while ago by my friend Jenn to write 5 random things about me (I never did) and now I just got tagged to devulge my quirks... so I'll combine the best of both! :)

1. I absolutely cannot stand the smell of red hots, cinnamon bears, hot tamales... YUCK you get the idea!!! Going to the movies is the worst when someone in the row in front of me has them . It's torture! It seriously makes me gag! Since I mentioned movies, I get motion sickness very easily and have to sit up high in the theater or I will get sick. Remember the movie "Perfect Storm"? I had to walk out. It made me seasick! Weird I know!

2. I have a gift for speed reading & for memorizing lots of useless trivia and faces. Don't know how or why... but I've had it since I was a little girl. I once recognized a complete stranger as the twirler for Highland High School Class of 1967. I think I freaked her out when I asked her if that was her name because it was now 1997. I used to love to read my mom's yearbooks when I was 10 and I remembered her face.

3. Random jobs I've had in my life... "Bippo the Hippo" you'll have to ask... :) , Poolside waitress,
Dental Assistant, Dental Sales Rep for Ultradent, Counter Manager for Lancome Cosmetics, & Rep for Bedhead Hair products

4. I always have to have something on my lips whether it's lipstick, lipgloss or vaseline. I can't stand the feeling of them being "naked". Personally, I think everyone looks better with a little color on their lips!:) I also am a lotion freak especially on my hands!

5. My secret fantasy would be to dance as a Rockette! Or to dance on the show "Dancing with the Stars".


6. I am totally into the show "Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders- Making the Team"- It's addicting! I'm just glad I don't have to squeeze my muffin top into their teensy weensy white shorts and blue shirts. I do think it would be a kick (literally) to dance in those white cowboy boots! Yee haw!

End of Summer Wrap-Up...

I have a few pics that I never blogged about so thought I would put them in before we go into fall! August was my "29th" birthday! :) This is outside on the patio at the Grand America in SLC. This was right before a giant wind storm came and everyone had to move inside. We went up there for the night and even brought grandma so she could babysit little man. Here is my mom and Drew enjoying room service for breakfast. That little man ate an entire pancake by himself and they were huge!!! Wade and I went to the Sunday Brunch.. I think my favorites were the crepe station and smoothie station.
Lunch with my old girlfriends from the dental assisting days. It was so fun to see each other and catch up and re-tell our favorite stories when we worked for "The BYU" team dentist. Boy those were the days.... Last but not least I went to Portland in May to rendevous with my old girlfriends from high school. Sadly, I do not have any pics to show! But, it was fun to laugh and act like annoying teenage girls again!!

If You Chance to Meet a Frown....

What a sad face!! My mom and dad thought they would take me for my first haircut. What were they thinking???

For Drew's first "real haircut" (i usually trim it) we took him to Cookie Cutters a kids salon thinking he would like sitting in a fun car and watching a movie while he got his hair cut. Nope, he didn't want to have anything to do with it. He threw a fit like we were trying to pull out a tooth or something!!!

The finished product-I don't know how the stylist actually cut his hair but it turned out pretty darn cute for such a little pill!

Can't wait for McDreamy......SERIOUSLY

FALL is HERE... you know what that means... my favorite doctors are back in action. Oh Dr. Derek will Meredith ever figure it out????? McSteamy, you're not too bad to look at either! :) Can't wait for my guilty pleasures... Desperate Housewives-Grey's Anatomy.

Back to School in Style...

Why didn't they have these super cute lunchboxes when I was in grade school??? Too bad I still don't have my lunchbox (see below) it's considered "vintage" now.

This was my lunch box in the 3rd grade and it even had a matching thermos! Holly Hobbie rocks! I also had a Holly Hobbie sleeping bag. She was cool way before Strawberry Shortcake! I had a really strange fear of eating hot lunch in elementary school. I had my mom pack frosted mini wheats, carrot sticks & applesauce sandwiches in my lunch. Weird I know! I eventually graduated to ham sandwiches with carrot sticks and it was a real treat when my mom would put a chocolate zinger in. She would always write me cute notes on my napkins. Thanks mom!! :)
Love this polka dot lunch box too! Makes me want to go back to school~

NieNie (Stephanie) was burned over 80% of her body and her husband sustained burns over 30% of his body. The flight instructor was killed in the crash.
